Kist met microscoop met oculair, diafragma, veldlens; spiegel; 7 objectieven (No 1-6 en zonder nr.); Lieberkühnspiegel in doosje met houder; vispan; 8 preparaatschuiven met 4 doorboringen (No 1-8); 2-zijdige preparaatklem met objecttafeltje; conische condensor; livebox; spring-stage; houder voor ontbrekende belichtingslens.Chest microscoop. Hoogte kist: 15,5 cm. Breedte en diepte van de kist.
Edward Nairne werkte van 1749-1796.

In the mid-18th century the look of microscope changed dastically under the influence of the London instrument maker John Cuff. In 1744 he introduced a new model with a strikingly slim body. Moreover, his design had the first really satisfactory stand.
The usefeulness of the instrument was enhanced still further by the addition of all kinds of accessories such as fish-plates and liver boxes. Cuff's design was copied exactly by many instrument makers who signed thes microscopes with their own name.
